Our Training

Training
Approach

Holmesglen TAFE tailored the Electrotechnology program to address the specific needs of national electricians, based on observations gathered by Holmesglen’s expatriate trainers during on-site visits to carry out project site electrical works evaluations. Following on from these site observations an initial assessment of the learners’ capacity to undertake the planned electrical training was then conducted in 2019, leading to the development of the six targeted skill sets.

Our TSDC trainers go beyond just delivering a lesson plan by eliciting class and individual participation in order to ensure our students leave their course feeling completely competent and confident that they can effectively and safely utilize the new skills they have learned.
TSDC represents a major step in standardizing electrical workforce skills, spanning the mining, manufacturing, industrial, domestic and commercial installation sectors. With this program, we aim to improve competency, quality, productivity, and—most importantly—safety in the electrical workplace and helping clients build a skilled, capable electrical workforce that meets their operational goals.

Program Certification

Upon successful completion of each skill set across the training program, participants will receive a certificate of completion for the skill set. These certificates will be awarded by Holmesglen TAFE and signify the attainment of a recognized electrical training standard. Certificates of completion of training shall be issued only to those participants who successfully complete the training course including assignments and open and closed book assessments.
